Has it been 4 months since our last blog entry? Between Medica, RSNA, and NAVC, winter and spring was a busy time for FI Sales. We will try and be more faithful bloggers the rest of 2010.
2010 started out slow for us, but progressively picked up sales momentum. January seemed like just another recession month, despite a strong showing at FI Sales. February picked up some sales momentum and March has been our best month since the recession started. And we will start April with some strong orders and billings to start our second quarter off with a bang.
Now we're not ready to proclaim that the recession is over, but we are cautiously optimistic with some of the signs we are seeing. And it's not just us. We're hearing from others that sales are on the rise.
So we move forward into 2010 confident, but cautious. We continue to offer parts for Fischer Industries, Protec, Summit QCP, Kodak MXP, JPI JP-33, and Alphatek AX200. In addition, Protec ECOMAX and OPTIMAX x-ray film processors continue to find new homes through our dealer network. FI Sales will soon be introducing the FI EcoTank which is a "no plumbing" version of the ECOMAX for veterinary use. Our line of veterinary surgical equipment is strong with a surgical laser, electrosurgical units, and cryosurgical devices. We also are looking at an acquisition, and we hope to have some news of some major additions to our product offering. We held our nose while we rode out the recession, and it sure smells nice to breathe in the fresh smell of spring and a better business climate these days.
