Lots of news recently coming out of the x-ray industry ...
Sound Technology's parent company VCA Antech has acquired Eklin. See http://www.soundeklin.com/company/news/vca-antech-inc-completes-merger-eklin-medical-systems-inc for the official announcement. Looks like the new company name is Sound-Eklin. Clever. Although there has been some talk of flat panel DR prices rising with the merger, I'm not sure whether this economy will support any digital imaging price increases. Still lots of choices out there. Time will tell.
AFP got some needed cash and has a new Chairman of the Board. See http://www.afpimaging.com/index.php?mact=News,cntnt01,detail,0&cntnt01articleid=26&cntnt01returnid=102 for full details. We wish our industry friend Donald Rabinovitch the best of success within the new structure of AFP Imaging.
We also wish our friend Paul Kupsco, formerly of Alphatek, all the best in his new venture with TXR.
